Silica Particles
These monodisperse silica particles with a density of 2,0g/cm³ are simple to dispense and to separate. While polystyrene particles (d= 1,04) are difficult to separate by centrifugation with a lower size as 0,5 µ, silica particles do set down easy and are easy to resuspend. The silica particles are stabel in water and organic solvents, produced under a new dying method. Silica particles are easy to functionalize and available as fluorescent particles. They are useful for coupling of DNA, oligonucleotides, oligopeptides, proteines, lectines and antibodies. The refractive index of silica beads is 1,43-1,46 measured at 589 nm ( taken from literature), value for 100 nm and 300 nm is 1.45 ± 0.02 (589 nm), < 800 nm: 1.465 ± 1% The fluorescent silica-particles are also available with different functional groups as-NH2, and -COOH.Non fluorescent silica particles are also available with e.g.albumin, protein A, epoxy, NHS, NTA, EDTA and others. Hollow Glass Beads
Here we offer hollow glass beads of different sizes. PGBH-11 and PGH-18 are made from boresilicat, non porous, chemical inert and appears as white powder.PGBH-10 is a hollow bead from FE-AL-Silica in a size under 10µ and appears as grey powder.
Glass Beads
This serie of glass beads is designed for applications where inorganic beads with high density are required. The glass beads are manufactured from high pure raw materials and have a pure and shining surface. The density is 2,5 g/cm³, chemical characterisation is 72% SiO2, 13% Na2O, 9% CaO. The glass beads are PbO free. The glass beads are mainly round above 250 µ = 95%. For your convenience we have listed in the table the nominal number of beads/g. This number is a guideline only.special characteristics:homogenous and smooth surfaceno air-bubbleswide range of sizesfree from foreign particles, glass fragments and other impurities.All beads are available in bulk.We also can offer on request Zirconium silicate (density 3,8g/cm³) and Zirconium silicate, Yttrium stabilized ( density 6,0g/cm³). These beads are used as grinding media in pest control, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industry.
High Precision Glass Beads
This serie of glass beads are made in high precision with diameter deviation of 20 micrometer only. They have an very high grade of roundness and are polished or fine matt surface (above size 8 mm).Application: glass beads are used as high precision beads for ball bearings, Valves of dosage pumps and dispensers in the cosmetic- and food industry, Closures of ink cartridges and many other special a pplications in the optical, space andmedical technique.Density is 2,58 g/cm³, melting point 1445°, hardness according to Mohs ≥6, chemical characterisation: soda lime glass 67,7% SiO2, 6,48% K2O, 10,7% Na2O, 5,03% BaO, 5,57% CaO, 2,67 ZnO, 1,85% other.CAS-No. 65997- 17-3 / EINECS 266-046-0.For your convenience we have listed in the table the nominal number of beads/kg. This number is a guideline only.The Glass beads comply with the requirements § 31 of the German Food and Feed Code (LFGB) and of the European Food Regulation 1935/2004/EC, Article 3. The heavy metal content of the Glass beads keeps the permitted limits of RoHS.These beads are also available on request in borosilicate glass and as solid colored glass transparent or opaque.All glass beads available in bulk.The shown packsizes are minimum, the number can be increased is steps of 100 up to the size of 14 mm.
Gold Particles
Our Gold Particles are of highest quality and can be used in production of diagnostic tests as well as conjugation studies of proteins and antibodies. The particles have a very narrow size distribution ( CV between 10% and 20% depending on size ) and are available from 2nm to 250nm. They are supplied in 100ml solution at optical density of 1.0, measured at 520nm. The number of particles/ml is given in the product/ordering table. The solutions are stabilized with HAuCL4.Prices of smaller or bigger quantities on request.
Biodegradable Microparticles
It is necessary to use "biodegradable particles" in a lot applications. Our particles are made from poly(D,L-lactic acid) with a molecular weight of 17.000 Da with a denmsity of 1,02. They are supplied in 1% aqueous suspension (10 mg/ml) and are stable at neutral pH for at least 3 monthes. Degradation starts through basic or acid pH or enzymatic hydrolysis. The particles are available in a variety of sizes, chemistries and fluorescent colors.The beads in diameters of 250 nm and 500 nm have small size distributions and with mean diameters of 2 µm, 30 µm and 100 µm have broader size distributions.
